I graduated college in 2002 with a psychology degree from Cal State L.A and moved to Las Vegas to become a professional bartender. I lived in Las Vegas for seven years working in the restaurant industry and investing in real estate. In 2009, I had the opportunity to move to Hawaii with a job in hand and I took it.. PARADISE!! I moved from the middle of the desert to the middle of the ocean. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful to call Hawaii my home even though it comes with a cost but I’m still here 15 years later.
When I moved to Oahu in 2009 and I noticed a shortage of places to get Mexican food, I wanted to do something about it, so I came up with the idea to open my own taco stand and serve tacos. It was Cinco de Mayo 2011 and I did it. The business started as a little taco stand serving tacos from midnight to 4am in Waikiki on the weekends. Now in 2024 I currently have two operating restaurants named Alejandro’s Mexican Food, one in Kalihi Valley and one at the Pearl City Shopping Center in Pearl City.
The restaurant industry is a hard working service industry and it has taught me a lot about service and hard work. I define great service as listening to what a guest wants and delivering that to them to the best of your ability. In Spanish one says “a tu service” which means “at your service” and that I feel is my role for clients in real estate. My experience in restaurants, gives me a passion to help other entrepreneurs find the right real estate for their business needs. I also want to help Spanish speaking people find the home of dreams and help make communicating easier speaking the same language.
As for my personal life, I love different cultures, different languages and different foods. I myself am fluent in Spanish and English and also know a little sign language. I have a wonderful wife and two amazing kids but most my family still live back in California. I really love to play golf and ride my motorcycle when the weather cooperates and travel every chance I get. I look forward to teaming up with great people to accomplish a common goal and that’s achieve great things. I believe that everything happens for a reason, but, we have to make stuff happen too! Gracias! Mahalo!
